On June 15th the section of new U.S. Route 35 from WV Route 34 to the Buffalo
Bridge was opened to the public. This section of the new 4-lane crosses Putnam
County’s newest business and industry park - Putnam Business Park – in Fraziers
Bottom, West Virginia. In 2008, the development authority completed construction
of the new section of Johnston Drive that connects the park to the new 4-lane.

completed entrance to Putnam Business Park.
The new road was constructed using Industrial Access Road (IAR) grant funds
provided through the WV Department of Transportation and the WV Development
Office. Widening of the entrance and construction of a turn lane on new US 35
was completed on June 15th also.
The opening of this section of the 4-lane opens up Phase II of the park
property. The authority has an approximately 30 acre site on the south side of
new U.S. Route 35 and a number of lots on the north side, all overlooking the
new 4-lane. An additional 11-acre site is located immediately south of the
existing Phase I property. For more information on Putnam Business Park or the
available sites, please visit our web site or go directly to:
