A larger crowd than expected
attended a public meeting on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at Mountain View Elementary
School to comment on needed improvements to Teays Valley traffic in the coming
years. The Regional Intergovernmental Council (RIC) has contracted with URS
Corporation to undertake the traffic study to determine what improvements can be
made to improve traffic flow in the fast-growing Teays Valley area.
The project is part of an effort to
aid traffic problems in congested areas. Teays Valley residents who visited were
able to talk with planners about their concerns and also to complete written
suggestion forms with their comments.

write their concerns on large maps for planners to investigate as the planning
progresses.
The planning is expected to take
approximately one year before the study is completed.
