On
April 21st, Senator Jay Rockefeller visited with Clark International Logistics
in Black Betsy to encourage Clark and other small businesses to "embrace
innovation and partnerships." Click
here for a press release from Sen. Rockefeller’s office. West Virginia’s
Senior Senator visited Clark International to have a roundtable discussion on
American small business and its role in the military.
According to the Senator, Clark
International is "… the story of a small family business in West Virginia that
has grown and expanded in our state while continuing to hire locally and
partnering with the West Virginia National Guard, who has the best employees to
build and refurbish vehicles."
Clark International Logistics is a
world-wide leader in refurbishing military vehicles which are shipped to several
countries across the globe. It is the largest privately-owned corporation
providing refurbished American military vehicles in the world.
In 1999, Eric Clark, now President
and CEO of Clark International Logistics, joined Senator Rockefeller on a trade
mission to China. The trip helped the company explore contract opportunities
with China and other companies abroad.
