PCDA Board Approves Resolution in Support of Business
At the March 24th meeting of the Putnam County Development Authority Board of Directors passed a resolution in opposition of the Employees Free Choice Act (Card Check Bill) which would take the secret ballot vote out of the unionization process. EFCA will hand union leaders their top legislative priority – the ability to change the rules of how unions are recognized by doing away with the proven practice of holding free and fair secret ballot elections. By forcing workers out of the voting booth and subjecting them to a public ‘card check’ scheme, opponents of the bill say it would take privacy, power, and choice away from America's workers. Please urge our U.S. Senators to vote against this anti-business bill.
