The West Virginia Department of Commerce recently
hosted a Volkswagen North America Supplier Event at the Embassy Suites in
Charleston. The event featured speakers from the new Volkswagen automobile
manufacturing facility currently under construction in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Mr. Ian Davies, General Manager, Project Purchase & Supplies Readiness with
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. and Mr. Keith L. Eakins, Jr., Supplier
Diversity Manager were on hand to provide a presentation and answer questions
from automotive suppliers in West Virginia about the Volkswagen procurement
process and were available for one-to-one meetings with potential West Virginia
suppliers. In the photo, Mr. Davies gives a presentation about
