Governor awards $50,000 grant to Putnam County

January 20, 2000 - The snow didn't stop a presentation ceremony at the State House this afternoon as Governor Underwood awarded a $50,000 Industrial Park Assistance Program grant to the Putnam County Development Authority.

The funds are administered by the West Virginia Development Office and supports projects that expand economic development opportunities.

The funds are to be used in conjunction with the purchase of additional acreage for the new Huntington-Charleston Business Center in Fraziers Bottom. The Authority is working with the West Virginia Infrastructure and Jobs Development Council to close a long-term financing agreement for the final 68 acre tract of the total 205 acre new development.
