February 19, 2002 -- Federal and state dignitaries were on hand at the Eleanor Town Hall this morning for an announcement by Diamond Electric Mfg. Company (http://www.diamond-us.com) about an expansion of its facilities in the Eleanor Industrial Park. The company is adding another 28,800 sq. ft. of manufacturing space to the existing 50,000 facility at the park. The addition will result in the creation of about 30 new jobs in Putnam County and an investment of $6,000,000.
The new addition will bring Diamond Electric Manufacturing's total investment to about $18,000,000 in Eleanor. In the photo at right, Mr. Tatsuo Ikenaga, President, Diamond Electric Mfg. Corporation talks about the company's expansion plans to guests at the announcement ceremonies.
The ceremonies were held at the Homestead Room, Red House, in Eleanor.
