CITY NATIONAL BANK MAKES $5,000 DONATION

March 16, 2001 - City National Bank has made a $5,000 donation to the Development Authority's 2001 fund raising effort. "City National's donation of $5,000 brings this years total to almost $24,000 in this fund raising effort," according to PCDA's Executive Director Gary Walton. "The Authority's financial need is even greater this year because of county budget cuts and we certainly can not affort to let up on our marketing efforts," Walton stressed. He continued, "City National Bank continues its tremendous support for the development authority not only with this year's donation but with technical expertise provided to the authority by Mr. Roy Hamilton serving as a member of the PCDA Board of Directors."

City National joins a growing list of donators to the campaign. Other donators this year include: Allied Warehousing, Ameristeel, Baker Truck Equipment Company, Concorp, Cultural Resource Analysts, Inc., Dunn Engineers, Inc., Environmental Design Group, Flexsys America LP, Four S Development, Fruth Pharmacy, G&G Builders, Inc., Garage Door Openers, Great Lakes Chemical Corporation, HNTB Corporation, Maxim Crane Works, Parkline, Inc., Pray Construction Company, Presnell Associates, Inc., Putnam County Bank, R. O. Robertson, Jr., Steptoe & Johnson, Tasty Blend Foods, Teays Physical Therapy Center, Thrasher Engineering, The March-Westin Company, Thompson Real Estate Rents, and the Cecil I. Walker Machinery Company.

"We certainly appreciate the donations made by these businesses," Walton said. "The 2001 fund raising effort began earlier this year with the assistance of the Putnam Regional Organization for Technical & Economic Development (PROTEC)." PROTEC is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt not-for-profit organization and donations made to PROTEC may be deductible as charitable donations. We invite any business that wants to support the development authority's efforts to retain, expand and recruit new industry, jobs and investments to Putnam County to make a donation.
