May 17, 2001 - PCDA Membership Committee has decided to include an application for board membership on the Development Authority's Internet web site. The PCDA board includes - by statute - "not less than twelve and not more than 21 members." Members of the board are appointed by the Putnam County Commission. Potential members are recommended by the Membership Committee, and after concurrence of the full board , recommendations are submitted to the County Commission for appointment.
Currently there is a full complement of 21 members serving on the board but openings occur because of transfers, job changes, etc. Persons currently serving as board members represent various sectors of the local economy including: education, financial, utility, elected officials, manufacturing and service sectors.
Board of Director meetings are held monthly at the PCDA offices on State Route 34. Applicants interested in serving on the board or on any other county board or commission may complete the attached application form. Included with the application form is an authorization form required by the Commission. The forms are included in both Word Document (.doc) and Portable Document Format (.pdf).
