Putnam County Demographics

Putnam County, West Virginia is located between the State’s two largest cities, Charleston and Huntington. According to the 2010 Census Putnam County is home to 55,486 people.

There are a wide variety of industries represented in the 350 square miles that comprise Putnam County including “Manufacturing”, “Retail Trade” and “Construction” which account for roughly 40% of the employment, 45% of annual payroll and approximately one-third of total business establishments.
